Your first takeoff

What to expect

Your Discovery Flight, step by step

  1. 01

    Before you fly

    You meet your instructor at the hangar, talk through what you’d like to get out of the flight, and walk around the airplane together on the preflight inspection.

  2. 02

    In the air

    Once you’re airborne, your instructor hands you the controls. You’ll climb, turn and level off yourself, with a hand ready beside you the whole time.

  3. 03

    Back on the ramp

    Back on the ground you talk through the flight, ask anything you like about training, and leave with the flight in your logbook. No sales pitch — the next step is yours to decide.
